GRIMES, Iowa — Authorities say an improperly disposed of firework caused a fire in Grimes overnight. The Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire District says crews were called to a home in the 400 block of Southeast 2nd Street on reports of a fire around midnight on Friday.
