NEVADA, Iowa — Gary Graham Jr., a resident of Zearing, has been found guilty of first-degree kidnapping and willful injury in a case involving the abuse of his 18-year-old stepson.
The verdict was delivered Monday by a judge who determined that Graham played a role in the severe abuse and malnourishment of the victim, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. Graham is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
Danielle Graham, the victim’s mother, is set to be tried in the case on December 9, 2025. Meanwhile, the victim’s siblings Aaron and Kaitlynn Williams, who were also involved, have pleaded guilty to lesser charges. Their sentencing will occur after Danielle Graham’s trial.
Gary Graham Jr. is also charged, separately, with multiple counts of sexual abuse, sexual abuse of a child, and incest. His trial in that case has been continued to December 16, 2025.
