WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A metro school bus with students on board was involved in a crash on Tuesday night.
At around 8:40 p.m. first responders were called to the intersection of University Avenue and Country Club Boulevard for a report of a crash involving a Waukee Community School District school bus and a sedan.
According to the Clive Police Department, the bus was occupied by students heading back to one of Waukee’s high schools after an event. No students were injured.
Clive police said that the driver of the sedan had to be extricated from the vehicle. The driver’s condition is unknown at this time.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. No additional information has been released.
