CLIVE, Iowa — 515 Brewing Company in Clive is searching for a new owner.
After over 12 years in business the current owners of the microbrewery announced they are stepping down. In a post published to Facebook the co-owners – Ryan, Bailey, Brandon, and Dave – said opening 515 Brewing was a dream come true, but they’re ready for the next chapter.
“Opening 515 Brewing and crafting our own beer was truly a dream come true,” the post reads in part. “But more than the brews themselves, the greatest joy has been sharing them with all of you — our amazing community. Every smile, every toast, and every story shared with you has been a gift. Brewing has been a big part of our lives, and we’re so grateful for every moment.”
Along with the owners stepping away, the head brewer, Barb Becker, announced her retirement. Barb is credited with creating many of the fan favorite brews and earning prestigious awards for the brewery.
The owners said that the brewery will remain open as they search for the next person to take over and continue to grow the brewery. Anyone interested in the opportunity can reach out to the owners by emailing info@515brewing.com.
