Rep. Feenstra receives multiple endorsements to be Iowa’s next governor

DES MOINES, Iowa — U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra has received multiple endorsements to be Iowa’s next governor.

In April, Governor Kim Reynolds announced she wouldn’t be seeking reelection in 2026; and not long after, several politicians announced gubernatorial campaigns, including Rep. Feenstra. Since his announcement, he’s received multiple endorsements from fellow politicians.

On Monday, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst announced her support for Feenstra in the gubernatorial race.

“Randy Feenstra is a proven conservative who has delivered results for Iowa in Congress, and I know that he will take that same workhorse mentality to Des Moines. It’s why I’m proud to endorse Randy Feenstra for Governor of Iowa,” Ernst said in a statement. “Randy has worked with President Trump to secure our border, cut taxes for Iowa families, invest in our rural main streets, and support our farmers and agricultural communities. As Governor, he will grow our economy, stand with law enforcement, and take Iowa to new heights.”

Last week, U.S. Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks posted her endorsement for Feenstra on X. The post reads “Rep. Randy Feenstra was a great team player on the field, in the State Senate and in Congress and he will bat home runs as Iowa’s Governor. Honored to endorse him as Iowa’s next governor!”

Several other Republicans have announced campaigns or exploratory campaigns for Iowa governor, including State Sen. Mike Bousselot, former state Rep. Brad Sherman, and State Rep. Eddie Andrews.

Iowa Auditor Rob Sand and Julie Stauch, both Democrats, are also running for governor.
