DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines Public Schools is participating in the USDA Summer Food Service Program, which provides free meals to kids during the summer break from classes.
Meal service started June 9 and runs until August 15 at most locations. Lunches are served Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and must be eaten on site. Anyone age 18 and under is eligible to receive a free, nutritious meal through the program.
