DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines metro youth ministry employee has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a child.
Tylor Moore, 26 of Urbandale, is charged with 2nd degree sexual abuse, lascivious conduct with a child, and indecent contact with a child. He was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Polk County Jail.
Sgt. Paul Parizek, spokesperson for the Des Moines Police Department, confirmed Moore was an employee of Freedom for Youth Ministries at the time of the alleged abuse. Criminal complaints filed in the case say the victim was a seven-year-old male who Moore sexually abused after hours at the Freedom for Youth Ministries facility at 2301 Hickman Road in Des Moines, from May 9th to May 10th.
Freedom of Youth Ministries provided video footage of some of the alleged abuse to police, according to court documents.
A no-contact order has been issued barring Moore from contacting the victim.
Moore remains in jail on a $250,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 27th.
