‘I felt great’: Hannah Stuelke turns excellent all-around game in Hawkeyes win

When Hannah Stuelke’s got it going, watch it. The junior forward played arguably her best all-around game as a Hawkeye.

In Iowa’s 81-66 win over Wisconsin, Stuelke scored 21 points on 7-12 shooting. She also grabbed fifteen rebounds and tallied four steals.

She turned a few signature performances in Iowa’s run to the national title last year. That included a 23-point game against UConn in the Final Four and a 25-point game to win the Big Ten title.

Stuelke’s going into this year’s tournament on a high note and beaming with confidence.

“I felt great,” Stuelke said. “I missed some shots so a couple of those were off my missed shots. I think we all wanted to get a win for the seniors. I think that boosted my energy.”

“I think it was nice to see her have that performance,” Head coach Jan Jensen said. “She’s really sacrificed a lot from the four to the five, so just happy for her.”

“I think that’s going to bode well for the big ten tournament that she’s going in with that type of confidence.”
