DES MOINES, Iowa — As Des Moines prepares for the High School State Basketball Tournament, two banners featuring Caitlin Clark have gone up in downtown along Court Avenue.

One of banners hang off of the Court Avenue Brewing Company building, while the other hangs off The Elliot, located across the alley.

‘We love Caitlin Clark ya know, I think all of Des Moines and Iowa, if not the whole nation, fell in love with Caitlin Clark recently. So, it’s been really cool, and I think it’ll be cool for us especially with the girls’ basketball tournament coming to town soon, said Bob Trader, Court Avenue Brewery. “I think I’ll be really popular and really cool to see.”

The banners went up on Thursday and will be up for four weeks, during which the women’s and men’s state basketball tournaments will come to town.

The Iowa Girls High School State Basketball Tournament will be held March 3-8 at Wells Fargo Arena.
