UPDATE: The DMPD said Zulieth has been found safe and is being reunited with her family.

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a missing 12-year-old girl.

According to DMPD, Zulieth didn’t return home from school on Monday, and is believed to be voluntarily absent and in distress. She was last seen in the area of SE 28th Street and Scott Street.

Zulieth was last seen wearing a long coat and Vans hoodie — both black, blue jeans, and Nike shoes. She is also said to be carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information about Zulieth’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
