The lawmaker who introduced a bill to ban diversity, equity, and inclusion offices at Iowa’s community colleges pulled the plug on the proposal Wednesday. During the bill’s subcommittee hearing, Rep. Taylor Collins, R-Mediapolis, said community colleges have already taken steps to remove DEI programs.
