ANKENY, Iowa — The Ankeny Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a missing 15-year-old.
Avery McCann was last seen when he left his home at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 8. Police said when McCann left he took a silver and purple mountain bike with him.
McCann is considered to be endangered because his family and the police department believe he might be outside without proper shelter.
McCann is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 150 lbs., and has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, green camouflage coat, and jeans. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Polk County Dispatch via 911 or (515) 286-3333, ext. 5.
