ARLINGTON, Texas — The Iowa State Cyclones will look for its first-ever Big 12 Championship on Saturday morning. The Cyclones face off against the Arizona State Sun Devils at AT&T Stadium. WHO 13’s Mark Freund is there, watch the videos below for a full preview of the big game.

Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. The game can be watched on ABC and streamed on Fubo.

You can’t talk about how the Cyclones made it here to Arlington, without mentioning Quarterback Rocco Becht. And although Becht hasn’t been at his best lately, he has thrown a touchdown in a program-record 16 straight games. Many of those touchdowns passed have gone to ISU’s dynamic wide receiving duo Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins.

There are a handful of players on Iowa State’s roster that were young guys on the 2020 team that made it to the Big 12 Championship game. Tight end Stevo Klotz, offensive linemen Jarrod Hufford and Tyler Miller, defensive back Darien Porter, and defensive lineman J.R. Singleton all were on the team for that game. They all get a second chance to win a title on Saturday.

Iowa State rosters seven players from Texas that will make homecoming trips this weekend. Among them is Tyler Onyedim, who’s been a key player on the Cylones’ defensive line. Onyedim is from Richmond, Texas and is excited to be going home and to play at AT&T Stadium.

Iowa State has already played against some of the best running backs in the nation. Tahj Brooks at Texas Tech, RJ Harvey at UCF, Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson, and Kansas State’s D.J. Giddens all went over 1,000 yards this season. The Cyclones played them all, but the toughest test is yet to come. Arizona State running back Cam Skatebo stands between ISU and a Big 12 Championship.
