Post-holiday forecast: More cold, more flurries

DES MOINES, IOWA — We Black Friday at 11 degrees in Des Moines and finished colder than Thursday. More chilly weather is ahead in your Weather Timeline:

It will, obviously, be a very cold kickoff Friday night at Kinnick for the Hawkeyes vs the Huskers.

Lows and wind chills will again be on the very cold side overnight into Saturday morning:

We’ll see some flurries, especially in the west and south, Saturday morning and again in the afternoon and evening. We’re not expecting any travel impacts in Iowa.

We’ll again see a round of flurries late Sunday night into Monday morning.
