IOWA — Maverik announced on Thursday that it’s rebranding Kum & Go stores to Maverik stores in 2025.
In April 2023 the Krause Group announced it had sold Kum & Go to Utah-based Maverik. Kum & Go was started in Iowa and for over 60-plus years grew to be a prominent convenience store with locations in Arkansas, Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
On Thursday Maverik confirmed that it would be rebranding some of the Kum & Go stores, but said that a rebrand in Iowa has not yet been confirmed.
Maverik is in the process of rebranding Kum & Go stores, with the intent to unify our entire combined footprint under the Maverik brand. While we’re committed to this vision, we are taking a thoughtful, market-by-market approach to ensure the best customer experience before confirming each state’s rebrand. Our focus is delivering a consistently elevated c-store experience — across fuel, rewards, foodservice, and inside-store offerings. As we solidify our plans in each state, we will share those updates with you. We look forward to expanding Maverik’s spirit of adventure from the Midwest to the West Coast.
