DES MOINES, Iowa — The minute Roger and Arenda Maxwell saw the news they knew they had to take their young family to see Pope John Paul the second at Living History Farms.
“Three in the morning,” Arenda recalls, “we had to get up at three in the morning to get to the fairgrounds to get on a bus to get there.”
It turned out to be an experience they would never forget.
