DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred in downtown Des Moines Saturday night.

According to police, a 37-year-old man was stabbed in the 200 block of Walnut Street.

Police say the man walked to his home in the Oakridge neighborhood, where his neighbors then called for help.

According to police, he suffered multiple minor stab wounds.

Police say the suspect has been identified but they have not made any charges yet.

The Des Moines Police Department says an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
