FORT DODGE, Iowa — An arrest has been made following a robbery that occurred Friday afternoon in Fort Dodge.
Friday at approximately 3:35 p.m. the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a panic alarm from the Availa Bank located at 130 N 29th Street in Fort Dodge. While enroute to the bank officers were notified that a bank robbery had occurred.
Once officers were on the scene they made contact with bank employees. Deputies and investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division began collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses.
Information was shared with responding officers, but the suspect was not immediately located. The suspect was later identified with the help of responding law enforcement and efforts to obtain him were initiated.
At approximately 6:31 p.m. the suspect’s vehicle was located traveling on Highway 20. A Webster County Deputy conducted a traffic stop and obtained the suspect without incident.
Juan Alberto Flores-Andino, 66, is charged with robbery in the second degree and theft in the second degree.
