DES MOINES, Iowa — While it has been another in a string of very cold days, we did manage to warm up a bit compared to Thursday. Your weather timeline takes you into a warming weekend.


Lows tonight will again be frigid but will stay above zero. Winds have already become southwesterly, and these winds will kick off our warming trend Saturday, and that warming will carry us into next week. Tonight’s lows and highs for the next six days can be found below:







We don’t see any snow in our immediate future, but we do have a couple of slight rain chances as we head into next week, one late Monday and another Wednesday into Thursday.


As opposed to the cold outlooks we’ve seen in recent times, the 6-to-10-day outlook keeps us in temperatures near what is average for this time of year, along with drier-than-normal conditions.
