We’ve seen another round of snow move through central Iowa this afternoon and the deterioration of road conditions in some places that have accompanied it. More snow is on the way Saturday and again late Monday. Your weather timeline takes you through Sunday morning, when temperatures again turn colder.

A winter weather advisory has been put into effect through 6 p.m. Saturday as more snow will be falling throughout the day.

Light snow will begin again during the early morning hours Saturday and last into the evening as shown below. We may even see flurries linger into Sunday morning. Amounts in addition to what we have received on Friday can be seen in the second image.

Another round of snow looks to come our way Monday afternoon and evening. Both snowfall amounts and winds look to be light during that timeframe as the forecast appears today.

Turning to temperatures, the headline is cold weather as we move into next week. Snow chances look to diminish for a while after Monday.

The extended forecasts below point to dry conditions through the 27th, with cold lingering through the 23rd in the upper Midwest.
