Tiny Trees giveaway program applications now open

DES MOINES, Iowa – Despite the frigid temperatures the city of Des Moines is already preparing for Spring.

Des Moines residents can now place their orders for up to five free tree seedlings to plant on their own property. Homeowners have until April 18th or when supplies run out to place their orders.

Each year since the program’s inception in 2017, Des Moines Forestry has given away thousands of trees through its Tiny Trees Giveaway Program. The program helps promote the growth of the City’s urban tree canopy.
