KNOXVILLE, Iowa — A construction worker was airlifted to a hospital after falling from over 10 feet in the air into the basement of a new home in Knoxville over the weekend.
According to the Knoxville Fire Department, first responders were called to the new Veterans District on a report of a construction worker who had fallen at around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. When first responders arrived they found the worker had fallen 10 feet down into the basement of a new home.
The rescue was deemed a technical rescue and additional resources were requested from the Knoxville and Knoxville Rural fire departments.
The worker was removed from the basement and air lifted to a hospital. The worker’s condition has not been released.
No additional information has been released.
