AMES, IOWA — The Iowa State Cyclones are still a top ten team in the nation after correcting their losing streak over the weekend in a big way. The Cyclones are ranked 10th in the latest Associated Press men’s basketball poll. That’s down two spots from last week.
The Cyclones started last week with a loss to the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence on Monday. It was the Cyclones’ third straight loss. On Saturday the Cyclones got back in the win column with a 30-point blowout victory over TCU at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones are 18-5 on the season. They’ll play on Tuesday at TCU before welcoming Cincinnati into Ames on Saturday.
The Drake Bulldogs remain just outside the top 25 despite sitting at the top of the Missouri Valley Conference. The Bulldogs are on a ten game winning streak, including an overtime win against Indiana State at home on Saturday. The Bulldogs record stands at 22-2 on the season. They travel to Illinois State on Wednesday this week before hosting Bradley on Saturday at the Knapp Center.
