Special Election set to fill deceased Iowa Representative’s seat

DES MOINES, Iowa — Governor Kim Reynolds has set a date for the special election for Iowa House District 100.

The election will fill the vacancy left by Representative Martin Graber, a Republican, who unexpectedly died of a heart attack on January 31st. Graber was serving his third term in the Iowa House at the time of his death.

The date for the special election has been set for March 11th.

District 100 covers Lee County and cities like Fort Madison and Keokuk. The winner of the special election will hold the seat until the end of Graber’s elected term.
