DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is investigating after one person was injured in a shooting Thursday night.

According to DMPD, the shooting occurred near the intersection of SE 14th Street and Maury Street. One person was injured in the shooting. The extent of the person’s injuries has not been released.

DMPD said the scene is secure and an investigation is underway.
