Lows tonight should bottom out in the upper 20s for most of us, and the mild highs we’re expecting through Sunday can be seen in the gallery that follows:
Rain looks to move in by the evening hours on Thursday, and stick around into Friday morning. It wouldn’t be impossible to see a wet flake mix in, but it’s unlikely anything would accumulate on wet ground and pavement.
Rain looks to move out by Friday afternoon, though amounts will be impressive in the south given the time of year, as seen below.
We are running out of snow cover in the upper Midwest. And most of it will be gone by the end of the weekend.
The graphic below is from the European Ensemble model and shouldn’t be read as a forecast, but does show that we may stay close to seasonal temperatures for a while, and that there aren’t any signs at this point of a big shot of cold air on the way. It does appear that we could see some snow in Iowa mid-to-late week next week!
