DES MOINES, Iowa — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Des Moines convenience store.

Officers were called to the BP at 1516 SE 1st Street around 11:48 a.m. Friday. The Des Moines Police Department said on X that a suspect used a gun to rob the store.

A description of the suspect has not been released.

There will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation progresses.
