GRIMES, Iowa — A woman who was found dead in a Grimes backyard Tuesday has been identified.

Shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the 700 block of SE Dovetail Road. The sheriff’s office said when deputies arrived they found an adult female dead in the backyard of the residence.

On Wednesday authorities identified the woman as 46-year-old Hui Chen of Grimes.

According to the sheriff’s office, no evidence has been found suggesting any foul play in Chen’s death. An autopsy will be conducted to determine Chen’s cause and manner of death.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
