New Iowa vaping restrictions put on hold

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — A new law that would take most vaping products off of Iowa store shelves is currently on hold after a lawsuit was filed.

Several businesses and industry leaders are suing the Iowa Department of Revenue, claiming the law would majorly restrict the sale of many vape products. The new law would require e-cigarettes to go through marketing authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration before being sold.

The Iowa Department of Revenue recently announced that the enforcement and publication of the state’s vapor products directory would be delayed until further notice.
