DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured two on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a DMPD post on X, around 4:22 p.m. officers responded to a shooting incident in the 2900 block of East 40th Court.

Police say two people were injured.

Officers say there is no indication of ongoing danger to the neighborhood.

Authorities have opened an investigation into the shooting.
