DES MOINES, Iowa- Flix Brewhouse in Des Moines has more to celebrate this December than the holidays.

This month, the dine-in cinema located in Merle Hay Mall is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Flix is hosting a giveaway all December long where 10 Circle Rewards guests will win free movie tickets for all of 2025. To enter, you must purchase a movie ticket during the month of December using a Circle Rewards Account. General manager Emily Verke said if you don’t have an account, you can make one to be eligible for the giveaway.

Flix is expecting plenty of people to watch a movie on December 25th in observance of Christmas or Hanukkah.

“People might thing I’m crazy for working on Christmas Day, but honestly, the magic is kind of where the movies are,” said Verke.

In celebration of the holiday season, Flix Brewhouse will show It’s a Wonderful Life at 11 a.m. and The Polar Express at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on December 25th.

Other movies that they’re showing include Nosferatu, Mufasa: The Lion King, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, A Complete Unknown, Moana 2, and Wicked.

Tickets for any of the movies Flix Brewhouse is showing on Wednesday can be purchased online or at the theater.

Flix Brewhouse also has two specialty brews on tap to celebrate their decade in Des Moines. The first is Dark Helmet, which is a dark chocolate, coffee, and caramel brew and the second is Poppin’ Bottles, which is a champagne IPA.
