GRIMES, Iowa — An adult male surrendered to law enforcement after barricading himself inside a Grimes home for almost two hours Wednesday night.
At around 7:30 p.m. the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic incident at a home in the 400 block of SE 14th Street. According to the sheriff’s office, when deputies arrived at the scene they discovered an adult male had barricaded himself inside with an adult female.
The sheriff’s office said after almost two hours of negotiation the man surrendered and exited the home.
