WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Construction work led to a fire at the priest residences near Dowling Catholic High School on Wednesday.
At around 10:30 a.m. the West Des Moines Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in the 1300 block of Buffalo Road. When crews arrived on scene they found fire inside one of the walls of the building.
According to the fire department, construction crews were working when a spark from grinding caught something inside the wall on fire.
The department said no injuries were reported.
