What a difference a few degrees can make as we head later into Sunday. Saturday in Des Moines at 9 a.m. the temperature hit 32 and got stuck for the most part. Sunday we were also at 32 at 9 a.m. but continued to warm.

Your weather timeline takes you through a mild start to the work week:

We have a dense fog advisory to deal with again Sunday night, so be prepared for reduced visibility. We have also seen some refreezing in spots by early morning.

A boundary could touch off a snowflake or a sprinkle early Monday with little to no impact. Our next chance for light snow comes late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning north of I-80. We may see some minor accumulations and travel impacts.

Lows tonight may dip below freezing in spots. Highs for the next six days can be found in the gallery that follows and include a colder Wednesday.

The extended forecasts keep us warmer and drier than average into the end of the month.
