DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered teen.

According to DMPD, 16-year-old Ryan Benton left his school in the Highland Park neighborhood Thursday afternoon and hasn’t returned home. Police said Benton was reported missing at around 5:45 p.m. and attempts to locate him thus far have been unsuccessful.

Benton has Autism and was last seen wearing a black and maroon colored Timberland jacket and black jeans with holes in the knees.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
