DES MOINES, Iowa — On Saturday, President-elect Donald Trump announced his pick for Director the Federal Bureau of Investigations, 44-year-old Kashyap “Kash” Patel.
The current FBI Director, Christopher Wray, was tapped by President Trump after firing Director James Comey in his first term. The Republican Senator from Iowa took to ‘X’ on Sunday morning signaled that he is happy Dir. Wray could be replaced.

Sen. Grassley is the returning U.S. Senate Judiciary chairman and will play a critical role in the nomination confirmation process in the chamber. Patel has previously called for mass firings in the FBI and the Justice Department.
