Dreams are building for Central Iowa students and a couple of events last week show how schools and organizations encourage those possibilities. Sugar Creek Elementary in Waukee had their first Caitlin Clark Day at the school. This was a coordinated effort with a gift of “Just Like Caitlin” books for the entire grade. They turned it into a schoolwide celebration. Across town at the Science Center of Iowa, teams from 16 schools took part in the Ready. Set. Build! Competition. This is a competition that inspiration creativity, problem-solving and teamwork. Both are this week’s Scholastic Spotlight!
