It will stay warm through Saturday ahead of the next significant system to move across the state. This next front will bring a longer period of rain and more widespread totals.
Saturday looks to start off with the chance for a few spotty showers and storms. We should then see some dry time for part of the morning and early afternoon. Storm chances look to build back in by late Saturday afternoon and into Saturday evening. Saturday will remain summerlike with highs in the mid-80s.
Even wetter conditions move in for Sunday. Widespread rain is expected throughout the day, especially in the morning and early afternoon. Northern Iowa will generally be drier than the southern half of the state.
Rain chances linger into Monday too, with some clearing expected by Monday afternoon. By the end of the day Monday, a widespread inch or two of rain is possible across a decent portion of the state. Northern Iowa will receive less rain compared to the rest of Iowa.
Sunday and Monday also bring a big change in the temperatures department as high temperatures drop to the upper 60s! The rest of next week looks fairly quiet with sunny and dry conditions. Temperatures recover to near-average highs in the low to mid-70s.
