PLEASANT HILL, Iowa — The suspect accused of hitting a Southeast Polk student and stealing the student’s car in October has been arrested.
On October 24 the Pleasant Hill Police Department responded to the high school parking lot on a report of a car jacking. According to school officials, a suspicious individual was seen loitering in the parking lot. The individual came in contact with a staff member and then struck a student and stole the student’s vehicle. The suspect fled from the scene.
Pleasant Hill Police announced on Friday that the suspect has been arrested in Illinois. Elijah Sack, 20, has been charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree attempted burglary in connection to the case. Sack is also facing additional charges in Illinois.
