IOWA — Incumbent Republican Ashley Hinson is the projected winner of Iowa’s 2nd congressional district seat, according to the Associated Press. Hinson has held the seat since 2021 when she defeated Democrat Abby Finkenauer in 2020. Prior to being elected as a U.S. representative, Hinson served as a state representative for the 67th district from 2017 to 2021. She was challenged by Democrat Sarah Corkery and Independent Jody Madlom Puffett.
