IOWA — Former President Donald Trump has carried the state of Iowa for a third time, NBC News is projecting. Governor Kim Reynolds and Iowa Republican Party Chairman Jeff Kauffman both declared victory for Trump as well. Trump previously carried the state in 2016 and 2020.

A Des Moines Register poll released days before the election had predicted that Harris was in the lead in Iowa, though that lead was within the poll’s margin of error.

Trump did not visit Iowa during the 2024 campaign.
