ALBIA, Iowa — A woman was hospitalized Monday after being struck by a pickup truck in Albia.

The Iowa State Patrol said the collision happened around 5:07 p.m. at the intersection of 3rd Avenue West and Highway 5. A Chevy 1500 pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Andrew Hackett was traveling eastbound on 3rd Avenue West when it hit 67-year-old Sue Henderson.

Henderson was walking across the eastbound lane of 3rd Avenue West at the time of the collision. She was transported to Methodist Hospital. Her condition was not listed in the ISP crash report.

The report said Hackett was injured but refused medical treatment at the scene.

Both Henderson and Hackett are from Albia.

The Iowa State Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
