Des Moines Public Schools’ Central Academy has an 8th-grade math class using election methods to teach math modeling, and two Central Iowa teachers stepped up this summer to help the Secretary of State’s office update the Education 101 curriculum available online for Iowa teachers. Both are this week’s Scholastic Spotlight.
