EchoStar is selling ‘unpaired’ AWS-3 spectrum to SpaceX for $2.6 billion, adding to earlier sales of AWS-4 and H-block spectrum to the satellite operator. A new unit, EchoStar Capital, will manage strategic investments, M&A and divestitures.
