FORT DODGE, Iowa — The Fort Dodge Fire Department says an investigation is underway after an early morning fire scorched a Fort Dodge home.
According to the Fort Dodge FD, fire crews were called to a home in the 1300 block of N 22nd Street around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. Crews arrived and found an active fire with heavy smoke and flames.



Fire crews initiated an attack using a single handline and were able to bring the flames under control within 20 minutes of arrival. Crews stayed on scene for around three hours.
Authorities say no injuries have been reported from the fire. The Fort Dodge FD says property records state the home belongs to Christian and Miranda Menke.
The Fort Dodge FD says the cause of the fire is under investigation. Fort Dodge crews were assisted by the Fort Dodge Police Department and MidAmerican Energy.
