Hamilton County woman arrested for alleged theft and drug distribution

HAMILTON COUNTY, Iowa — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says a traffic stop later led to an arrest on theft, drug, and traffic violation charges.

The HCSO shared in a press release that on Friday a deputy was patrolling along 220th Street in Williams, when they ran a license plate that did not belong to the vehicle. The deputy conducted a traffic stop of the driver, 49-year-old Robbie Lyn Walker, who told the deputy they were not aware of the plate discrepancy.

The Hamilton County Dispatch Center found a contact for the license plate owner who told authorities that Walker should not have the plate. The HCSO then located Walker at her motorhome. With the help of a K9, a search was conducted of the vehicle and exterior of the motorhome.

The HCSO says the K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics from the vehicle. Authorities then conducted a probable cause search. Walker turned over a marijuana smoking pipe, while authorities say numerous other illegal narcotics and items related to the distribution of narcotics were located inside the motorhome.

A search warrant later gave authorities access to a cell phone found on the premises. Authorities say the search warrant revealed what appeared to be multiple people buying and selling narcotics from Walker. The HCSO says Walker had admitted to selling.

On Sunday, the HCSO attempted to take Walker into custody but found her leaving her motorhome. Authorities were able to conduct a traffic stop and take Walker into custody.

Walker was arrested and charged with:

  • Ongoing Criminal Conduct
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver – Methamphetamine
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver – Psilocybin Mushrooms
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver – Marijuana
  • Driving While Barred
  • Driving with Suspended License
  • Operating a Non-Registered Vehicle
  • Fail to Prove Security Against Liability
  • Theft in the 5th Degree

Walker has been booked into the Hamilton County Jail and is being held on a $48,200 criminal bond.
