Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market wraps up 50th season Saturday

DES MOINES, Iowa — The arrival of cooler temperatures in Iowa signals an end to the farmers’ market season. The Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market brings its 50th season to a close on Saturday.

Locally grown fresh produce and kitchen staples, baked goods, and products made by Iowans will be available for purchase. Food vendors will also be offering up their delicacies for marketgoers to enjoy.

The final market kicks off at 8:00 a.m. and runs until noon in Des Moines’ Historic Court District.

If you miss out on the final outdoor market, the Downtown Winter Farmers’ Market is scheduled in November to cater to holiday season shoppers.

The market takes place at the Iowa Events Center, Hall C of the EMC Expo Center, starting Friday, November 21st, and running through Sunday, November 23rd. Find out more details here.
