Experience Quad Comic Con this weekend at Merle Hay Mall

DES MOINES, Iowa — Basi White, founder of Sensiil studios, is inviting Iowans to experience Quad Comic Con October 25-26 at 10 a.m. at Merle Hay Mall. Attendance is free. He’s also released a new book in addition to his other publications.

White made history with publications sharing Pan African story telling. As Iowa and Nebraska’s first Black comic book publisher, Sensiil Studios aspires to bring authentic representation to the science fiction and fantasy genres. Sensiil Studios is a space where Pan African people can see themselves in the future, and see that they have a future, by producing stories with Black lead characters.

On November 1, he’ll be hosting Nightmare Mode: Anime Cosplay Party at RezBlue Arena in Des Moines.

Admission is $24.99. Attendees can play on consoles, PC’s, VR headsets, watch anime, enjoy beverages, and listen to local performers. There will be food, a costume contest, and a faffle for prizes.
