DES MOINES, Iowa — The whole family has a chance to experience Halloween in a setting over a century ago at Living History Farms’ Family Halloween.
Families can come dressed in their favorite costumes while taking in everything that the Halloween setup at Living History Farms has to offer. This includes trick-or-treating along the storefronts of the 1876 town of Walnut Hill, listening to storytellers, fortune telling, potion making, play games and make crafts, and top it off with a horse-drawn wagon ride.
The event runs from Friday-Sunday Oct. 17-19 and Friday-Sunday Oct. 24-26. It is open from 5 p.m. -8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are $12 for everyone 2-years-old and up. Tickets can be purchased here, or at the door.
