Forecast: Breezy Sunday, then rain chances

DES MOINES, Iowa — It was a chilly start to Saturday, and we have stayed cooler than Friday. The weather timeline takes us into a breezy Sunday.

Lows Saturday night will be milder as a warm front approaches Iowa, followed quickly by a cold front later in the day. This will produce isolated showers during the afternoon and through the early morning hours Monday. Sunday will also be a breezy day.

Most of Monday looks dry as a cooling trend begins. Rain chances return Tuesday through Saturday, though the rainfall itself will be intermittent with many breaks.

Highs for the next six days are above, and your seven-day outlooks are below. We look to stay above-average in the temperature and precipitation categories as we head further into October.
